Church holding grief seminar
“GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays” is a helpful, encouraging seminar for people facing the holiday’s after a loved ones death.
The seminar will be held Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at Harvest Christian Centre in Park Hills. There is no charge for the event.
The seminar features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and other people who have experienced the holidays after the death of a loved one.
Topics to be discussed include “why the holidays are tough,” what to expect,” “how to prepare,” “how to manage relationships and holiday socials,” and “holidays to help you heal.”
Those who attend will recieve a free book with more than 30 days of daily readings providing additional insights and ideas on holiday surivival. Participants will also be able to make a grave blanket or wreath for their loved one.
Seats are limited so attendees are encouraged to R.S.V.P. by Oct. 31.
