No one was injured in a police chase that started in Desloge and ended on Route O near Hillsboro Road Wednesday morning.
Sheriff Dan Bullock said Officer Dan Russell initiated the chase in Desloge about 7:30 a.m. Russell had attempted to pull the vehicle over for having a busted front windshield.
The chase went through Desloge, and Park Hills at speeds of up to 100 mph before ending up on Route O. The vehicle exited the roadway and went through a field.
The driver had jumped out of the vehicle, Bullock said.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the man was still at-large but was not considered to be dangerous.
“I don’t know why he ran,” Bullock said. “They think they know who he is.”
He said a patrol vehicle received damage to a mirror.
He said several other agencies were on their way to assist when the car crashed. “The chase didn’t last very long,” he said.
