Fredericktown JROTC Rifle Team Defeats Farmington Air Force JROTC Marksmen
The Fredericktown High School Army JROTC Rifle Team hosted the Farmington High School’s Air Force JROTC Rifle Team in a “shoulder-to-shoulder” match (Sporter Division) held at the Missouri National Guard Armory in Fredericktown on Thursday, October 11. The Fredericktown Cadets captured twelve of the fifteen medals awarded at the event. The overall First and Third Place finishers in the A-Team match were: Cadet Brighton Talley (258 points) and Cadet Adam Ray (243 points). Cadet Talley also earned two more individual medals with a 1st place finish in the Standing event (84 points) and a 2nd place finish in the Kneeling position (83 points). Cadet Ray earned two other medals with a 2nd place finish in the Standing position (72 points) and a 2nd place medal in Prone (94 points). Cadet Gabriel Coonce earned a 1st place medal in the Kneeling event (84 points) and 3rd place in Prone (93 points). Cadet Brendon Todd finished 3rd (82 points) in the Kneeling event. The B-Team medal winners for their overall scores were Cadet Brandon Bargo with a 1st Place score of 235 points and Cadet Krystal Cox in 3rd Place with a score of 208 points. Fredericktown’s JROTC A-Team finished with a team score of 1195 points; Farmington’s total score was 1022 points. Other FHS Cadets participating in this match were Avery Rowland and William Vance.
