Judge sentences several during Friday law day
Several people were sentenced Friday.
On Friday, Circuit Court Judge Sandy Martinez sentenced Michael Tamm, 34, of Farmington, to five years in prison for violating the probation he received for second-degree robbery. The judge will consider releasing him on a new term of probation after he completes a 120-day shock incarceration program.
According to court records, he and another person stole an alcoholic beverage and a frappuccino from Walmart on Dec. 31, 2010. Loss prevention store employees attempted to stop Tamm but he pushed the female employee, elbowed the male employee and then fled.
In other cases, Roger Thomas Hoffman, 21, of Bonne Terre, was sentenced to five years in prison for second-degree burglary.
Shawn J. Bennett, 26, of Bonne Terre, was sentenced to seven years in prison for violating the probation he received for meth.
Sean Dale Thost, 24, of Bonne Terre, was sentenced to seven years in prison for violating the probation he received for first-degree tampering.
Drew Hoffman, 25, of Park Hills, was sentenced to four years in prison for violating the probation he received for DWI. The judge will consider releasing him on a new term of probation after he completes a 120-day drug treatment program.
Dustin Burgess, 20, an inmate, was sentenced to five years in prison for possession of meth.
Placed on five years of supervised probation were Erin Hickson, 29, of Desloge, for two counts of possession of a controlled substance; Heather Nicole Buckley, 27, of Farmington, for forgery and two counts of passing a bad check; Joshua P. Messmer, 34, of Arnold, for failure to pay child support; and Christopher Kazmierczak, 47, of Farmington, for DWI.
Circuit Court Judge Kenneth W. Pratte placed Guy Allen, 45, of Bonne Terre, five years of supervised probation for endangering the welfare of a child by flipping a table toward a child under the age of 17. He had originally been charged with child molestation.
