Cougars win third place at Valley tournament

CALEDONIA — Seth Kamper scored a game-high 21 points and Kingston captured third place in the Valley boys tournament Saturday with a 62-52 win over Grandview.

Alan Shawgo and Dayton Shepard netted 11 points each and Kyle Nelson added eight. The Cougars (2-2) established a 31-23 halftime lead that was not relinquished.

Kamper drained four 3-pointers, including three in the first quarter, to highlight a 17-10 first-quarter margin.

Craig Jackson paced Grandview with 17 points while Mike Eberhardt scored 11 and Anthony Allen had 10.
