Farmington man charged with child molestation

A Farmington man has been charged with several statutory rape and sodomy charges.

William Jason Cook, 33, of Farmington, has been charged with five counts of first-degree statutory rape, and four counts of first-degree statutory sodomy.

According to court records, a girl told her mother and authorities that Cook molested her several times over a period of seven to nine years. She said he threatened her not to tell anyone.

The girl also made allegations against Cook involving other children.

When interviewed, Cook denied molesting or inappropriately touching the girl or any other child.

The investigation is ongoing.

Associate Circuit Court Judge Wendy Wexler Horn set his bond at $450,000 cash or surety. The judge ordered him to have a GPS device installed within 24 hours if he posts bond.
