Bonne Terre approves water adjustment policy
BONNE TERRE – The Bonne Terre City Council has approved a water adjustment policy.
It was approved during the council’s regular monthly meeting Monday night at city hall.
Residents will only be allowed two adjustments to their sewer bill in a 12 month period. There are certain requirements they must meet before being granted an adjustment. For example, the leak must result in water usage of at least 25 percent above the previous bill.
Also during the half-hour meeting, the council approved Tim Womble’s request for a liquor license for Mario’s Italian Grill. The restaurant had previously been operated by Harold Leventry.
The council also approved a biosolids/sludge removal bid from Fresh and Clean Septic Service. The council approved $30 gift certificates for city employees and the chamber’s request for installing an electronic sign.
The council also announced filing hours and dates for the April 2 election. There are openings for Ward 1 and 3.
On Tuesday, Incumbent Harold Morgan and Kenneth Jaco filed for Ward 1. Incumbent Shawn Kay filed for Ward 3.
