Three injured in single vehicle accident

Three Potosi residents sustained minor injuries in a single vehicle accident 3:40 p.m. Tuesday on Route P north of Bates Creek Church Road in Washington County.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, the accident occurred when a 1997 Ford Escort driven by Zanoba V. Smith, 30, was traveling southbound. Zanoba failed to negotiate a curve to the right and the vehicle traveled off the road.

Smith and two occupants, Logan A. Goodson, 5, and Allen D. Goodson, 24, were transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital by Washington County Ambulance.

According to the report Logan Goodson was not wearing a seatbelt.

Damage to the vehicle was listed as extensive.
