Richwoods man killed in Washington County accident

A Richwoods man was killed in a Washington County accident Thursday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Paul F. Richards, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Richards was driving a 1997 Ford F150 on Highway 47 north of Carp Lake Road when he lost control on a curve. The driver overcorrected, causing the truck to go off the left side of the road and strike a tree. The truck overturned several times. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident was reported at 8:48 a.m.
