Parkland Health Center Welcomes Clinical Nurse Educator
Parkland Health Center is pleased to welcome Melissa Kelly, RN, BSN, to its Education team. Kelly has filled the role of clinical nurse educator at the hospital.
“I enjoy the patient contact. It’s great to be a part of a community of care givers who take excellent care of people,” Kelly said.
She has spent the last five years at Mineral Area College, working in the A.D.N. program as a freshman year nursing coordinator. Her love of teaching, and advanced degree in nursing were a perfect fit for the clinical nurse educator position at Parkland.
“My primary job will be to make sure the nurses at Parkland are always informed and educated on the best practices, equipment and products,” Kelly said. “The healthcare industry is constantly changing, and it’s vitally important that our staff continue to learn and stay abreast of the latest information and technology.”
Kelly, her husband, Justin, and their two children, Stephen and Maggie, live in Park Hills.
