Woltering trial date set

Wayne Woltering’s trial has been scheduled for his charges of deviate sexual assault.

His trial is scheduled for May 30 before Circuit Court Judge Kenneth W. Pratte.

Woltering, who is already registered as a sex offender for a 1987 conviction of sodomy, was charged earlier this year. The new charges allege he had sex with a minor between May and June of 2010 in a residence south of Farmington.

He also has prior convictions for receiving stolen property, stealing a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor failure to register as a sex offender.
