Fitzwater named House Committee on Corrections chair

JEFFERSON CITY – Rep. Paul Fitzwater, R-Potosi, has been named chairman of the House Committee on Corrections. Speaker of the House Timothy Jones says he expects Fitzwater to play a key role in the development of legislation assigned to the committee.

“I am pleased the speaker has entrusted me with this tremendous responsibility,” said Fitzwater. “There are numerous highly qualified representatives capable of administering this chairmanship and to be chosen is truly a great honor.”
