Raiders’ valiant effort falls short in OT
ST. CLAIR, Mo. — The North County boys basketball team missed a golden opportunity to capture a hard-fought road win Monday night.
St. Clair used three offensive rebounds to drain a tying 10-footer with 1.5 seconds left in regulation, and topped the Raiders 64-59 in overtime.
Austin Brandon and Hunter Strange scored 11 points each and Drew Forbes added nine for the Raiders. Trent Cassidy and Jonathan Stabenow chipped in eight apiece.
North County (3-11) missed two free throws while looking to extend a 57-55 lead with 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
The game was tied 29-29 at halftime.
