Pedestrian struck by vehicle

A pedestrian was struck by a car at 8:15 p.m. Monday on Highway 32 at Joggerst Road in Ste. Genevieve County.

Joe D. Davis, 27, of DeSoto sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital by Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Davis was walking east on Highway 32 in the eastbound lane. A 1997 Honda Civic driven by Steven W. Tindell, 21, of Ste. Genevieve was also eastbound. The Civic began to slide as Tindell tried to avoid a collision and the front of the vehicle struck Davis.
