Lego® contest planned at Civic Center
Come to the Farmington Civic Center for a Lego® building contest on Monday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
They will have three categories: 4-6 year olds, 7-9 year olds and 10-12 year olds and you must bring your own Lego® blocks. The first place winners in each age group will receive a day pass to the Farmington Water Park.
The rules are each contestant must bring their own Lego® Blocks, Duplo®, Mega Bloks®, or other Lego® compatible plastic bricks. Contestants cannot bring any pieces already assembled; all construction must be done during the contest. Contestants cannot use Lego® kits; they must use own creation.
If a daycare brings a group they must provide adequate supervision based on state regulations. Each contestant must take their entry home after the contest on Monday. Contestants can only have one entry. Contestants may bring photos and/or plans to use during the contest. Judging will be based off creativity, appearance, and difficulty for age group. Age categories will be based on contestant’s age the day of the event.
The pool opens at noon and the cost is $3.50 for non-members and concessions stand is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
