Blackcats lose large lead at the line, hold on for win

FREDERICKTOWN — The Fredericktown Blackcats gained a 17 -point lead over the St. Vincent Indians in Monday night’s game, but they saw it evaporate at the free-throw line in the fourth quarter. The Blackcats made only four of their 18 free throws in the quarter, but managed to  stay ahead for a 48-42 win.

Jeremy Gremminger and Justin Sawyer led the Blackcats in scoring with 11 each. Alex Brannum finished with 10 points, and Nick Oertel and Tyler Helm both finished with seven

Fredericktown (14-10) will host West County this evening for their next contest.
