No one hurt in apartment fire Tuesday night
No one was injured in an apartment fire in Farmington Tuesday evening.
According to Farmington Fire Chief Todd Mecey an off-duty Farmington Police Officer was driving past the Deer Run Apartments located at 21 St. Francois Drive and saw flames. The officer called in the fire at 7:56 p.m. and the fire department arrived on scene shortly after.
Chief Mecey said the fire was contained to the apartment and the resident was not home at the time. The fire was under control within 15 minutes of the fire department’s arrival.
The Missouri State Fire Marshall’s office is investigating.
Farmington was assisted by Doe Run and Wolf Creek Fire Departments.
