Animal causes accident
An animal in the roadway caused an accident which resulted in minor injures to a Bismarck woman, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Georgia F. Kitchell, 71, was transported to Mineral Area Hospital by ambulance. The patrol reported she was wearing a seatbelt.
Troopers reported Kitchell was driving northbound in a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu when she swerved to avoid an animal. The car traveled off the right side of the road, struck a bridge abutment and overturned.
The accident happened 1:25 p.m. Wednesday on Route BB one mile north of Route U. Damage to the vehicle was listed as total and it was towed.
