Mr. Holland’s Opus grants awarded to Kingston
Washington County – Kingston K-14 has received two $10,000 grants for new or refurbished music instruments. Thanks to the grants, more students will be able to participate in band and play musical instruments.
The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation provides new and refurbished instruments to schools across the country to inspire creativity and personal expression through music.
The organization was inspired by the film of the same name. So far it has provided more than 15,000 instruments to more than 1,300 schools nationwide.
