Camillo throws 3-hitter to lead Kingston

CADET — The Kingston baseball team spotted Josh Camillo a solid lead with four runs in the third inning on Wednesday.

The junior right-hander allowed just three hits while striking eight out, and threw a complete game as the Cougars defeated Crystal City 4-2.

Alan Shawgo delivered two hits with an RBI, and Cody Kemper doubled as Kingston improved to 4-9 overall.

Seth Kamper, Steven Johnston and Brendan Dickerson added singles in the victory. Crystal City scored its two runs in the fifth.

The Cougars will play Greenville and Steelville in the Potosi Tournament on Friday.
