Trojans win Conference Tournament
TERRE DU LAC — The Potosi Trojans completed a sweep of MAAA golf as they bested the field of 10 in the conference Tournament with a first-place finish of 343 at the Terre Du Lac Country Club on Monday.
The Trojans had three of its team’s members qualify for All-Conference honors as well. The top 10 scores in the tournament earned All-Conference selection. Eric McCoy won medalist honors with an 80 on the 18-hole course.
The Trojans, who had so far already gone undefeated in conference play, finished six strokes ahead of second-place Ste. Genevieve at 349. Farmington placed third at 358. North County was fourth at 361, and Fredericktown finished fifth at 367. Central was next at 369, Arcadia Valley scored 380, and West County came in with a 430. Valle Catholic and Bismarck had golfers who participated, but not as a team.
