Raiders improve in loss to St. Pius

CRYSTAL CITY — The North County boys tennis team found positive results despite dropping a 6-3 decision to St. Pius on Wednesday.

Top-ranked player Lucas Rodgers avenged a loss to Seth Cook from earlier in the season with an 8-5 triumph.

Fellow senior John Sands collected the second of three singles wins for the Raiders at the No. 4 level, posting an 8-6 final over Elijah Davis after rallying from a 1-4 deficit.

Zach Edgar notched an 8-5 victory over Justin Wampler. North County (1-9) will look to build more momentum today at Farmington.

St. Pius registered three singles shutouts while sweeping the doubles action.
