Steer and heifer show this Saturday

The 4-H/FFA clubs are hosting a Steer and Heifer Show at the St. Francois County Fairgrounds on Saturday. The fairgrounds are located on the outer road of U.S. 67 south of Leadington.

All steers and heifers should arrive at 8 a.m. and they must be in place by 8:30 a.m. to be weighed and measured. The steers will be divided in four show classes by hip weight.

At 9:30 a.m. there will be an education program and then lunch will follow. At 12:30 p.m. there will be the steer and heifer show.

An award ceremony will follow the steer and heifer show. Plaques will be presented to the grand and reserve champion steers and heifers. Plaques will also be presented in the junior and senior divisions, juniors are 8-12 year old and seniors are 13 and older. Gift certificates and ribbons will be awarded as prizes.
