Madison County Commission Minutes

May 20, 2013, the  Madison County Commission met with the following members present: Presiding Commissioner Bob Mooney, First District Commissioner Tom Stephens, and Second District Commissioner Jim Thompson.  

ROAD AND BRIDGE

Road and Bridge acting supervisor Ernie Robinson reported the department will continue hauling rock, grading roads and potholing this week.

COUNTY ROAD DETERMINATION

The Madison County Commission determined the end of County Road 244. County Road 244 will continue for 577 feet past the junction of County Road 244 and County Road 259, to the cut off power pole. The road will be located for the record and recorded in the Madison County Recorder of Deeds office.

COMMISSIONER REPORTS

The three Commissioners and the County Clerk attended a Board of Equalization Workshop at the Cape Girardeau County Courthouse Annex last week. The three Commissioners also met with the E-9-1-1 coordinator.

Stephens and Mooney measured CR 244 last week.

Stephens and Robinson checked a ditching problem on CR 539 and CR 537 for potholes and general condition.

Thompson and Stephens visited the county Road and Bridge Department last week.

Thompson checked several roads in District Two for potholes and visited E-9-1-1 department last Saturday.

Mooney attended the Chamber of Commerce meeting last week. He also checked on CR 431 and worked on an addressing issue in the E-9-1-1 department.

The Courthouse was closed Monday, May 27, 2013 because of Memorial Day.
