Foot pursuit ends with one in custody
TERRE DU LAC – A foot pursuit last week in Terre Du Lac ended with a suspect in custody according to police.
Police are seeking charges of resisting arrest, assault on law enforcement, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. The person’s name is not being released pending the filing of those charges.
According to Terre Du Lac Police, officers responded to a call of suspicious subjects walking on Napoleon Drive. It was believed that one of the subjects may have had marijuana on his person and possible warrants for absconding. During questioning one person fled on foot through a wooded area and officers chased after.
The person was taken into custody after resisting arrest, and a short while later and was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to police.
