Lady Raiders fall in low-scoring battle

FESTUS — The North County Lady Raiders took the initial lead with their only run in the top of the first inning, but could not hold on despite a strong pitching performance by Katie Montgomery. The Festus Lady Tigers were only able to muster six hits off of Montgomery, but they made them count with two runs in the third to boast a 4-1 win.

The Lady Raiders also tallied six hits with Alisha Caro going 2-3 and Sydney Parker, Emily Kay, Emily Robinson and Olivia Hall having one hit apiece.

North County (6-4) will travel to Potosi this afternoon for a conference game.
