“Freakytown” set for Oct. 26
Madison County
The Fredericktown Chamber of Commerce is expecting approximately 1,500 people at this year’s Freakytown 5-8 p.m., Oct. 26, in downtown Fredericktown.
Fredericktown Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kyle Wright said there will be plenty of activities for kids and families this year.
“We will have vendors set up handing out candy, IBS will be doing a side show with a glass eater and sword swallowing, some storefronts will also be open,” said Wright.
A costume contest will be held in front of the Chamber of Commerce office. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. and the judging will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Wright said there are different categories and age groups for kids to participate in.
He added, “We have categories for cutest, scariest, most original and even one for groups. Our categories range from infants to 13 years old.”
If anyone participating in the contest is not signed up by 5:30 p.m. they will not be judged.
