Free Medicare counseling program available
The open-enrollment period for changing Medicare prescription drug plans (called Medicare Part D) and Medicare Advantage plans began Oct. 15 and ends Dec. 7.
People on Medicare can add or make changes to existing prescription-drug and some privately owned health insurance plans under Medicare. Volunteers with CLAIM, Missouri’s free Medicare counseling program, will be available for free, unbiased help from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 14 and from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 15 at the Mineral Area College Tourism/Continuing Education Building in Park Hills.
There are a limited number of spots at this enrollment session – reservations are encouraged. Spaces can be reserved by calling CLAIM at 1-800-390-3330.
