Twists, Turns, and Slides

By the time this article comes out, we will be closer to a World Series winner.  Maybe even have one by then.  Will it be our favored Cardinals or the Boston Red Sox?  Who knows, but one can definitely say that this has been a series to remember!  But then every time we come to the playoffs, regardless of the sport, there are all those surprises and the unexpecteds that keep us on our toes?

It should be a definite reminder to all of us that nothing is ever just basic or cut and dried!  Life is constantly full of surprises. There are the “what ifs.” There are the “I can’t believe that just happened” events.  There are always twists and turns that need our attention and resolve and may result in life changing decisions.

We can have a constant in the middle of our trials that is available to each of us, if we will only accept it. That is our Heavenly Father’s love and guidance. He provides the peace, the calm, the comfort, the joy, the wisdom; whatever it is that we need.  All we must do is accept His truth and lean on Him to give us what we need.  Slips, falls, wrongs, scares; it doesn’t matter to Him. He is always ready with outstretched arms, waiting for us to run to Him.  Whether we win or lose at something, there are reasons for the journey and the final results can be amazing.
