Lady Blackcats overcome large deficit for road win

FESTUS — The Fredericktown Lady Blackcats made a quick comeback after trailing 17-4 to start the game to pull to within six at the first break The Lady Blackcats outscored their host, the Festus Lady Tigers, 36-20 in the second half to pull out a 65-54 win.

Paige Godsey scored 20 points to lead Fredericktown’s charge. Ellie Jensen and Abby Clark both had 15 points, AnnaBeth Philips scored seven and Raylyn Dodd had six.

Fredericktown (7-6) will travel to Ste. Genevieve on Thursday for their next game.
