Lady Trojans defense holds off De Soto

POTOSI — The Potosi Lady Trojans opted not to pressure the ball but instead play a strong defensive game of denying the ball to De Soto’s top scorer Kelsey Kingsland. The strategy worked as Potosi gained the early lead and stayed out in front the entire game for a 49-38 win.

 Allie Golden led the Lady Trojans with 16 points, Macie Knott scored 11 and Maddie Eye chipped in seven. The Lady Trojans held Kingsland to 10 points, which was matched by Bethany Canada.

Potosi (11-6 will be at Central on Thursday for a conference game.
