Raiders win eight matches in double loss
HILLSBORO — The North County Raiders had eight wrestlers win a match even though the team lost to both Sikeston 52-12 and Festus 52-23 as a team on Tuesday.
Hunter Long (182) and James Kahn (138) were the only Raiders to win both of their matches. Long won 2-1 and 11-5 decisions (see below for match results). Kahn pinned his Sikeston opponent in exactly three minutes, and he won 9-6 against Festus. The Raiders won only three matches against Sikeston with Noah Rodenberg (285) scoring a 3-2 decision.
Fred Dickerson (106) and Dalen Kuehl (170) both won by fall to score over half of North County’s points against Festus. Tyler Shrum (113) won his match by a 15-0 tech fall in 3:05.
North County will travel to Farmington this evening for a dual meet starting at 6 p.m.
