De Soto man injured in collision Wednesday afternoon

A Park Hills driver pulled out from a driveway into the path of a pickup truck, resulting in a collision that sent a De Soto man to the hospital.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, ambulance personnel transported Christopher A. Rulo, 26, to Mercy Jefferson Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Crash scene investigators for the patrol report the accident happened at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday on Flucom Road, west of Bader Road. Rulo was eastbound on Flucom Road in a 1993 Nissan Pickup. Bermeta A. Wall, 54, of Park Hills, was driving a 2004 Dodge Stratus when she pulled from a private driveway and vehicles struck head-on.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts according to the report. Damage to both vehicles was listed as moderate.
