Friday night, the Cats led most of the first half at Ste. Genevieve, but the Dragons tied it with a three at the halftime buzzer and were able to  pull away for a 58-45 victory.

Earlier in the year, the Cats had lost to the Dragons by 30. This time, Coach Jason McMurry said the FHS defense was the key to keeping the game close. The coach singled out the defensive play of Senior Chase Sheldon, along with entire team effort.

Jeremy Pridemore had his best game of the year, according to the coach. He led the Cats with 19 points.  Nathan Simpson was next with 11. Rylan Matthews scored six, Brock O’Neal scored five, and Tyler Helm had four points. Fredericktown also made 75 percent of its free throws in the game.

The Cats host Farmington, Thursday, and they host Arcadia Valley, Friday for Homecoming.
