Madison County Commission Minutes

January 21, 2014, the  Madison County Commission met with the following members present: Presiding Commissioner Bob Mooney, First District Commissioner Tom Stephens, and Second District Commissioner Jim Thompson.

ROAD AND BRIDGE

Road and Bridge Supervisor Gregg Pruett reported the work completed last week and said the department will start grading and potholing soon as possible. Discussion followed concerning the condition of dump trucks and pickup trucks. It was agreed a tandem dump truck is needed and possibly a better pickup.

E-9-1-1

E-9-1-1 Director Katy McCutcheon said she is working on ways to keep her budget under control this year. All equipment in the department is operational at this time.

COMMISSIONER REPORTS

Stephens attended a University of Missouri Extension Council meeting last week. He also checked on several county roads for needed repairs and visited the Road and Bridge department.

Thompson received a call from a resident living on CR 521 with ice on the road and another call from CR 530 reporting a tree across the road.

Mooney attended the Emergency Management meeting last Wednesday. He also met with an engineer involved with a TIF project and talked to Circuit Judge Pratte concerning a budget item.

All three Commissioners attended the 2014 budget hearing on January 17, 2014.
