Cougars run away with first half against Bunker
CADET — The Kingston Cougars applied a suffocating press in the first half of their game with the visiting Bunker Eagles on Thursday to set up an eventual 66-45 win. The Cougars led at the half 40-14.
Dayton Shepard scored 18 points to lead the Cougars charge. Ryan Boyer was close behind with 17. Quentin Henricks was next with 11, Alan Shawgo scored nine and Seth Kamper had seven.
Kingston (11-7) will play Valle Catholic at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday in the opening round of the MAAA Conference Tournament to be held at North County.
