Cats drop conference game to Tigers

The Blackcats Basketball Team lost 61-30 to Arcadia Valley, Friday night, here.

Fredericktown led 6-2, early, on baskets by Jeremy Pridemore, Nathan Simpson, and Tyler Helm. The visiting Tigers then went on a 21-6 run and led 23-14 after one quarter.

The Tigers led 31-20 at halftime.

Helm led the Cats with eight points. Brock O’Neal scored seven, Pridemore scored six, Rylan Matthews had five, and Simpson had four.

Prior to the varsity game, FHS Seniors Chase Sheldon and Nathan Simpson were recognized, along with their parents.

The Cats are currently playing in the MAAA Tournament, at Mineral Area College.
