Hunters foul trouble fuels De Soto win
DE SOTO — The Ste. Genevieve Hunters lost two key players to foul trouble in the second quarter, and the De Soto Lady Dragons took advantage as they cut a 15-point lead in half in the final two minutes before the break and then put together a 20-5 third quarter on their way to a 56-49 win.
The Hunters struggled at the free-throw line, 5-14, but they hit the boards well to pull down 40 rebounds. Erin Martin and Kate Palmer led the Hunters with 12 and 11 points respectively. Paige Porter was next with nine points.
Ste. Genevieve (11-13) will be at home today to host the Festus Lady Tigers.
