Kindergarten enrollment dates announced

Farmington R-7 School District has announced the dates for Kindergarten enrollment for the 2014-15 school year.

Enrollment is set for 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 24-27 at Truman Kindergarten Center, located at 209 West College St.

The child must be five years old by Aug. 1, 2014 in order to enroll.

Students with last names beginning with the letters A through M should enroll Monday, March 24 or Tuesday, March 25.

Last names beginning with the letters N through Z should enroll Wednesday, March 26 or Thursday, March 27.

The following items are needed during enrollment:

•State Birth Certificate

•Immunization Record

•Social Security Card

•Proof of Residency (property tax statement, utility bill, rental agreement, phone bill, etc.) showing current address.

Kindergarten screening is scheduled for April 28- 30 at First Baptist Church. Student must be enrolled before an appointment will be made for screening

Pre-orientation is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 for students with last name of A through M and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 for students with last names N through Z.
