Stanta Maria Stephens

Stanta Maria Stephens, 60, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at her residence in Bismarck. She was born December 16, 1953 in Rapid City, S.D., the daughter of Stan and Eunice L. (Knuckles) Chatman.

Stanta was preceded in death by son Justin Minx and step-fathers Charles J. Medley and Vernon Edmond.

Survivors include her significant other Daniel C. Roark; sons Joshua D. Minx of Fredericktown and Jacob D. Minx of Wichita Falls, Texas; daughter Sarah E. Minx of Desloge; siblings Sandie Mahon of DeSoto, Steve Chatman of Lawrence, Kan., Michele Chatman Allen of St. Louis, and Eddie Calvert of North Carolina; sister-in-law Luicinda Calvert of Bismarck; and grandchildren Bladen Justice, Bailey, Rilee, Ian, Logan, Payton, Tyler and Morgan.

Stanta enjoyed singing, camping, traveling, and yard sales.

Funeral services were Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Follis & Sons Funeral Home.
