Person of interest being sought

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a person of interest for an alleged assault that occurred late Sunday.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, deputies responded to a call on Minnow Road in Potosi for an incident that had just occurred with a firearm.

Andrew Cross, 24, was reported to have physically assaulted a woman at the address and also shot at her, missing and hitting the wall behind her.

Cross is not believed to be armed and is wanted for questioning. It was reported that he was last seen in the Park Hills area Monday evening in a dark gray 1991 Oldsmobile with a temporary tag on it.
