Filing continues for August primary

Two more candidates filed for offices before the deadline Tuesday for the Aug. 5 primary at the Madison County Courthouse.

As of Tuesday morning, the only contested primary is the race for the republican candidate for Presiding County Commissioner. Incumbent Bob Mooney and Wayne Spain have filed for the position. On the democrat side, Donnie Owens filed for Presiding Commissioner.

Madison County Associate Circuit Court Judge Robin Fulton, democrat, filed for re-election.

M. Dwight Robbins, republican, and Jason Cox, democrat filed for Madison County Prosecuting Attorney.

Paula Francis, democrat, filed for re-election as recorder of deeds.

Madison County Collector, Debra Boone, republican, filed for re-election.

Madison County Treasurer Nadean Rice, republican, filed for re-election.

Madison County Clerk, Don Firebaugh, democrat, filed for re-election.

Madison County Circuit Clerk, Eileen Provow, democrat, filed for re-election.
