St. Joseph Students Win Essay Contest

Three eighth grade students from St. Joseph Catholic School (Farmington) have won the Incarnate Word Foundation essay contest. The entire eighth grade class participated in this essay contest in February. The essay topic was a woman religious or community whose ministry, accomplishments, and/or untiring efforts inspired a student. The actions described could be current day or historical, but had to occur in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. The Incarnate Word Foundation, in collaboration with the Catholic Education Center and women religious communities launched this contest to acknowledge and raise awareness of the gifts of the many remarkable religious women in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Thirty-one winners from the Archdiocese were chosen.

St. Joseph contest winners are: Izzy Holloway, Jenna Moniz and Kimberly Ramos. Each student wins a $100 Amazon Gift Card. Eighth grade teacher Mrs. Willis coordinated the student essays and also wins a $100 Amazon Gift Card.

Students will be honored at a reception at the Incarnate Word Foundation in St. Louis on March 31.
