Notre Dame dominates Farmington golf tourney

FARMINGTON — Medalist Jack Litzelfelner fired a 1-under 71 at Crown Pointe and led Notre Dame to a team championship Wednesday at the Farmington Invitational.

A 74 from Trenton Schumer also helped the Bulldogs roll to a winning team total of 299, leaving behind runner-up Camdenton by 18 strokes.

Ian Semar carded an 81 to pace Farmington, which finished fifth among 15 participating teams and best among MAAA schools at 337.

Kyle Sutton scored an 82 for Arcadia Valley, while Central’s Brandon Wagner and North County’s Josh Wells each shot 87. Brendan McCoy of Potosi posted an 89.
