Four people were injured, three moderately and one seriously, in two separate accidents late Wednesday and early Thursday.

According to sources close to the incident, a 61-year-old rural Farmington man was critically injured after a rollover ATV accident Wednesday night.

According to reports, Danny Miller was found by a neighbor off Old Fredericktown Road outside at about 9 p.m. He had been lying on the ground in the cold for approximately two hours.

He was airlifted to a St. Louis area hospital for critical back, neck and other injuries. He was not been wearing a helmet at the time the accident occurred.

In a separate incident, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 72-year-old Betty Moritz was traveling westbound on Highway 8 early Thursday morning when she attempted to make a left turn onto Hunt Road near the Leadwood city limits.

Moritz’s car traveled into the path of a vehicle being driven eastbound by 42-year-old Selena Cartwright.

Moritz and 21-year-old passenger Thomase Moritz both received moderate injuries and were taken to Parkland Health Center by ambulance. Neither were wearing their seatbelts.
