Underwater Easter egg hunt set for Friday
There’s a new twist – or perhaps a splash – on the traditional Easter egg hunt.
The Farmington Civic Center is hosting an Underwater Egg Hunt on Friday. Admission is free.
The hunt is open to children ages 2-12. Participants are asked to bring swim goggles to aid in their hunt.
This is the second year for the hunt. According to Farmington Civic Center Program Director Laura McLean this year’s event promises to be even better than last year.
“We did this last year and it was an overwhelming success,” McLean said.
The hunt will be divided into different age groups participating at scheduled times. The 2- to 4-year-old group will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the 5- to 6-year-old hunt at 11 a.m. The 7- to 8-year-old group starts at 12:30 p.m., followed by the 9- to 10-year-olds at 1:30 p.m. The last group will be the 11- to 12-year olds at 2:30 p.m.
All children participating in the egg hunt are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. And parents are asked to accompany children who cannot swim in the pool during the hunt.
