Bismarck gets rain-shortened win at AV
IRONTON — Four players recorded multiple hits and Bismarck scored four runs in the second inning Wednesday to earn an abbreviated 8-6 win over Arcadia Valley.
Grant Latham pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief with three strikeouts for the win, and Skyler Henson got the final four outs for the save.
Arcadia Valley slashed an 8-3 deficit with three tallies in the fifth, but would not bat again as rain forced the action to be called midway through the sixth.
Cody Schafluetzel, Joe Knowles, Anthony Nitsch and Henson all finished with two hits to pace the Indians.
Jake Pryor and Hayden Helvey had two hits each for the Tigers, and Collin Tedford took the loss on the mound.
