One injured in ATV crash
A St. Louis man was severely injured in an ATV accident at St. Joe State Park on Sunday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Jason Barton lost control of his 1985 Honda three-wheeler on a steep downward slope and overturned. He was ejected from the ATV and landed on rocks.
He was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital by St. Francois County Ambulance.
In a separate accident, a Bonne Terre woman received minor injuries as result of a one vehicle accident in St. Francois County on Saturday.
According to the highway patrol, 35-year-old Tamara England was traveling on House Road a half a mile south of Highway 47 when her vehicle exited the left side of the road and struck a tree.
England was taken to Parkland North by ambulance. She was not wearing her seatbelt according to the patrol report.
