Fredericktown Graduation this Sunday

Fredericktown R-I High School will have more than 125 seniors graduate Sunday at the Fredericktown High School gym.

Graduation will begin at 4 p.m.

Fredericktown High School Principal Brett Reutzel said there are a couple of new things this year parents and families need to be aware of before Sunday’s graduation.

“One big thing about graduation this year is graduates had 10 tickets to hand out for those to attend graduation,” Reutzel said. “(Last year) We had a large number of people attending and no room to put them we had to limit the number of attendants this year. However, those who don’t have tickets can watch graduation in the Kelly A. Burlison Middle School through a video feed.”

He said the video feed is a new thing this year because the commencement will have a lot of overflow for families who won’t be able to watch graduation in the gym, but will still be able to see it live.

“During the graduation ceremony we will have special music by the Fredericktown High School Band, we will be recognizing the students entering the military, recognizing students who have received scholarships, the top 10 percent, both the valedictorian and salutatorian will give speeches, we will have the presentation of the class and then the presentation of diplomas,” said Reutzel.
