Retirees make return visit to Mineral Area College
PARK HILLS – More than two dozen Mineral Area College retirees, friends and guests of the college came back May 3 to chat and reminisce over lunch.
During the get-together, organized by Bob and Margaret Scobee, there was a moment of silence for the memories of retirees who had passed away the previous year. They included Gene Pratt, Mike O’Brien, Ben Chang and Paul Balogh.
Ken McIntyre presented a slide show about his recent mission trip to Haiti, along with wife Betty.
Retirees were also asked to share memories of their time and experiences at MAC in preparation for MAC’s 50th anniversary in 2015, and Flat River Junior College’s 100th anniversary in 2022.
